About the Artist

Julie Castrodale Miller is a self-taught artist based in Walla Walla, Washington. She began working with encaustic in 2012, drawn to its layering and textural properties. Incorporating shellac, raw pigments, oil paint, and pastels into the wax creates the abstract form and depth of her work.

Her work has been shown at galleries and wineries in eastern Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.
